The wooden backing boards retain an oval maker's stamp that reads "M-A. Pivet Miroitier, Rue St. Jean, Caen," visible in the submitted photographs. The seller reports a 19th-century French origin. The date, place of manufacture, maker attribution, gilding type, glass type, and originality of all components have not been independently authenticated.
